Prince Aleta is a PhD student at the University of Houston, specializing in electrochemical processes for carbon capture and clean hydrogen production. His research focuses on developing a modular electrochemical marine carbon capture technology as part of a DOE NETL-funded study. Prince's work has been recognized by the UH-Chevron Graduate Energy Fellowship, which supports students engaged in innovative energy research. He has successfully applied his technical expertise to practical business ideas, winning notable business pitch competitions such as the UH Chevron Energy Innovation Challenge and the DOE-sponsored EnergyTech University Prize. As Vice-Chair of Business Competitions and Symposiums for the UH Energy Coalition, he organizes energy-related activities for over 5,000 UH students interested in the energy industry. Prince is also a TEX-E Fellow, engaging in inter-university collaborations across Texas on climate tech and energy transition solutions. Beyond his research, Prince enjoys woodworking and playing the guitar.
