Jad Moghnieh is a Lebanese honors student majoring in architecture and minoring in creative works. He currently serves as the Vice Chair of Design for the Energy Coalition for the 2020 – 2021 school year and is interested in exploring the relationships between architecture, material extraction and energy resources. Formerly the Chair of Events Development for the National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS), he conceptualized and materialized Trajectories + Intersections, a student led exhibition spotlighting minority architecture student work. The space created by Trajectories + Intersections won the University of Houston NOMAS Chapter the 2019 Student Chapter of the Year. In his free time, Jad enjoys researching the demographic fabrics of cities and towns, from Houston to Beirut, as well as working manually on construction sites. As a chair member of the Energy Coalition, Jad seeks to connect students of all disciplines with employers in the professional energy field through graphic means.
