Major: Petroleum Engineering
Marco Avendaño is a senior petroleum engineering student expected to graduate in 2018. Marco has been part of the EC Executive Board for 5 semesters. Marco has a great interest in the oil and gas industry and specially on unconventional reservoirs. Marco has worked as a research assistant with the Geology Department, working in modeling and fingerprinting techniques for fluid characterization, and expects to continue these projects in graduate school. Marco has also worked locating hydraulic fractures using microseismic data. This semester he is going to be the Vice President of Business Competition Operations, and he expects to contribute as much as he can to the Energy Coalition and the Business Competition team.
